Over the years we’ve received many questions about our Toronto wedding photography services and we’ve gathered a few of them here. We feel it’s helpful for you to know what you can expect from us on your wedding day, so you can relax and enjoy the day with the confidence that your photography is in the hands of dedicated, professional wedding photographers.

You're Toronto wedding photographers. Do you work outside Toronto?
Yes. Our Toronto wedding photographers will travel. We've photographed hundreds of weddings throughout Southern Ontario, across Canada and even further afield!

Do you use an assistant?
Yes. We use experienced wedding photographers as our assistants. One of the things they do to support you on your wedding day is to take photographs from locations where your main photographer can't be (e.g., the balcony during the ceremony). During more formal photography, the assistant will be close at hand to help with tasks such as lighting, loading memory cards, switching lenses, charging and changing batteries, hair, make-up, props, etc. This leaves your wedding photographer available to capture all those magical moments!

Is there a limit on the number of wedding photos you will take?
No. What's most important to you, and therefore to us, is that your wedding day is photographed in a complete way. We always bring extra memory cards, cameras, lenses and flashes to be sure you are totally covered.

What type of camera equipment do you use?
We shoot with the latest generation professional Canon and Nikon digital cameras, lenses and lighting. If you would like to know specifics, please ask us when you make your inquiry.


What's your photographic style?
At Harvard Photo we're masters of many different techniques and styles of wedding photography: colour, black and white, photojournalistic, fashion, lifestyle, casual and formal. Just look at our online photo gallery and you'll see that our wedding photography is as varied as our clients are! Many of our clients book with us because they appreciate our versatility, not to mention our beautiful and highly creative images. They don't look that way by accident... We believe the majority of your wedding photography should convey the true events of your day. In addition to the relaxed family and wedding portraits, we work behind the scenes to capture all the real moments and events that gave both you and your guests such an unforgettable day!


Do I get to keep my wedding photographs?
Yes. You get to keep a DVD of high resolution images - unmarked and ready to print.

After your wedding day, we download all your wedding photos and create digital backups immediately. We then spend 3-4 days editing them, colour correcting and selecting the best wedding photographs on your behalf. You can take the DVD to any lab and print as many of your photos at any size you like! If you want the best possible results, with our creative post-production work done to each of your prints, we offer print packages.

Do you design wedding albums?
Yes. Our custom wedding photo books take your wedding photography to yet another level! Each photo is edited in subtle and sensitive ways – bringing out its best – so that every image stands alone as a work of art, while the collection seamlessly tells the story of your wedding day.

I've heard horror stories about wedding photographers turning up in track suits... what do you wear?
We dress in smart work wear. Typically, this is black or neutral clothing with black leather shoes. We do our best to match the style of your wedding, but ultimately we don't want to distract from your day!


What is your price & payment policy?
We require a 50% retainer to guarantee our wedding photography services. The remaining balance can be paid up to 1 week prior to the wedding.


What do you cover in your wedding photography contract?
We have customized our wedding photography contract to suit your exact needs. If you would like to read over it before meeting us, we will be very happy to email it to you. Just request it when you contact us.
